Highly unlikely that onboard maps would cause an elevation gain problem, since the Fenix 6 has a barometric altimeter so the gain should be independent of maps.

And, of course, you can just remove the third party maps from your 6 before sending it in. How would they know? So, I hope to find these maps which are free somewhere else, may be some P2P network has all Europe or something similar. Could I just copy the gmapsup image file s and give them to somebody in North America to put onto their Fenix 6?
